The Oxidation Shawl was designed by Sierra Kreun (@allknitup) for our first pattern collection, Handmade: Slow Fashion Inspired by Arizona's Five Cs. Please see below for details
Sierra's Pattern Inspiration:
Oxidation was inspired by large chunky pieces of copper and the shapes that occur during the natural oxidation process. Sierra grew up with natural copper in her house, and she was easily able to translate the different shapes into stitches. This shawl has slip stitches, stripes, short rows, and bumps to make art imitate life.
