    The Superlite Top was designed by Allison Ringness (@antiquotidian) for our first pattern collection, Handmade: Slow Fashion Inspired by Arizona's Five Cs. Please see below for details.

    Allison's Pattern Inspiration:

    "The Superlite Top is a cropped, cap sleeve top with mosaic stitch details that evoke decorative concrete blocks produced in Phoenix by the Superlite company since the 1940s. Worked in a fitted silhouette with nine sizes and adjustable armhole depth, it suits a variety of bodies and styles."

    Materials:

    US 3 / 3.25 mm circular needle, 32" / 80 cm length 

    US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needle, 32" / 80 cm length 

    Always use a needle / hook size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

    Sizing/Finished Measurements:

    1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9)

    To fit chest (fullest point) circumference: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46) (50, 54, 58, 62)"/ 75 (85, 95, 105, 115) (125, 135, 145, 155) cm

    Yarn: Less Traveled Yarn, 757 Sock Light Fingering, 75% Merino Wool, 25% Nylon, 463 yards/100 grams

    Contrast Color: Cabinwood; 1 (1, 1, 1, 1) (1, 1, 1, 1) skeins

    About the Designer: 

    Allison (she/her) taught herself how to knit at age 11 and has been making up patterns for things ever since (to varying degrees of success). She lives in Phoenix, Arizona, blogs occasionally and frequently dreams of colder climes. This is her first professionally published design.
