Travel Sweater Sets

The Travel Sweater, designed by Tif Neilan (@tifneilan_handknits on Instagram and Ravelry), is a DK weight, drop-shoulder construction sweater, worked from the top-down. Suri or Mohair held together with the main yarn add a bit of comfy-coziness and subtle texture to the upper body. The Travel Sweater features a double thickness collar and (two-color) Fisherman’s Rib cuffs and is adorned with special details such as a lateral braid and a simple cable at the top of the sleeves.

These sets are dyed-to-order and will take 2-3 weeks from order date to ship. I know waiting patiently for pretty yarn can be difficult, but please check your order date before reaching out for an update. :D

Additional pattern details:

The Travel Sweater is written for two body length options: Cropped or Standard. The Cropped-length body incorporates a slight waist shaping, while the Standard-length body is straight. The Standard-length body also includes an option for a double thickness Hem, to match the Collar.

This is an Advanced Beginner or Intermediate-level pattern.

Sizing:

1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9, 10)
Designed to fit with 2 – 5” / 5 – 12.5 cm positive ease. Select a size 2 – 5” / 5 – 12.5 cm larger than your actual bust measurement.

Gauge:

• Stockinette Stitch: 19 sts / 26 rnds per 4” / 10 cm worked flat and in the rnd on US 8 / 5 mm needles with MC yarn.
• Fisherman’s Rib: 21 sts per 4” / 10 cm worked flat and in the rnd on US 3 / 3.25 mm needles

Finished Bust Circumference:
32 (35, 38.25, 42, 46) (50, 54, 58, 61, 64)” / 80 (87.5, 95.5, 105, 115) (125, 135, 145, 152.5, 160) cm

Size Inclusivity Note: All sets are discounted from retail value. Sets with 5+ skeins are discounted 10%; and sets with 8+ skeins are discounted 15%.
