These kits are for the Scout Shawl design by Florence Spurling. "Scout is an intricate, pattern-filled shawl inspired by the pieced-together aesthetic of vintage quilts. A dream project for colourwork lovers, Scout’s patchwork effect is achieved by mixing Fair Isle and intarsia knitting throughout. Knitted sideways from tip-to tip, the easy-to-wear shape and size of the shawl is designed to display maximum detail as it drapes over the shoulders."
Kits are dyed-to-order and will ship within 2-3 weeks.

To help achieve a similar colour-effect to the sample, use these guidelines when creating your palette:
C2 – choose a light neutral (e.g. white, cream, beige, grey, etc.)
C1 and C5 – choose a lighter and darker tone in the same colour family (e.g. lighter pink for C1, and darker pink for C5).
C3 and C4 – choose a lighter and darker tone in the same colour family that contrasts with C1 and C5 (e.g. lighter green for C3, and darker green for C4).
Each kit will include our 757 Sock base (75% SW Merino, 25% Nylon - 463 yards) in colorways: Homer, Cactus Flower, Natural, Mallard, and Garnet (one skein of each colorway)
- 3.5mm/US 4, 61cm/24” or 81cm/32” circular needle
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- 28 sts and 30 rows = 10cm/4” in Fair Isle pattern after blocking.
- I suggest using Chart 6 to knit a swatch 13 x 13cm/5 x 5” or larger to determine your gauge.
- Always use a needle size that achieves the correct gauge.
